DIGITALIZED MANUALS AND TRAINING BUILT WITH REFLEKT ONE AUGMENTED REALITY SOFTWARE IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND REMOTE ACCESSIBILITY FOR THE PROCESS INDUSTRY
Siemens and REFLEKT today unveiled Augmented Reality (AR) manuals and training guides for a process-based testbed together with Dow. The testbed demonstrator at the MxD Innovation Center in Chicago shows how digital twin technology and work augmentation simplify manufacturing and make remote accessibility easier in the process industry.
Workers can use visual step-by-step instructions and 3D visualizations to perform service work such as replacing a pump faster and with a lower risk of errors than before. The advantage over classic documentation lies in the simple visual guidance as well as the realistic representation directly on the machinery and equipment.

SIEMENS CUSTOMERS BUILD AR SOLUTIONS WITH REFLEKT ONE
Siemens customers benefit from the integration of the work augmentation platform REFLEKT ONE into Teamcenter PLM and Mindspehre. This allows companies to create AR instructions and trainings in a short time without any programming knowledge.
“Together with Siemens, we show the digital toolset for the connected mobile worker. The combination of Teamcenter with REFLEKT ONE is the most powerful AR system using PLM and CAD data. It saves our joint customers a lot of time and money”, says Wolfgang Stelzle, CEO and Co-founder of REFLEKT.
WHAT IS WORK AUGMENTATION?
Work Augmentation with Augmented Reality Guidance and Remote Collaboration solve the modern challenges industrial enterprise are facing. Digital training guides accelerate training by enhancing the learning experience with augmented content, displayed in context with the real environment.
With these guides trainees grasp knowledge faster and no longer rely on outdated paper manuals. In addition to digital training guides, remote collaboration tools also bring the training to the employee, instead of the employee to the training.
