What is the difference between Cortona3D license types?
Cortona3D software products require activated licenses to get started. Here is a short overview of their node-locked or floating licenses.
Cortona3D software products require activated licenses (node-locked or floating). License activation requires a license file. The license file specifies the product name, the license validity period and the license type.
To use Cortona3D with REFLEKT ONE, we distinguish two types of licenses:
The license is tied to a particular computer (Host ID) based on its MAC address. The correspondence between the MAC address and Host ID in the license file is checked during the product start-up phase.
The license is tied to a floating license server. The software works on all systems where a network can communicate with the floating license server, and, providing the maximum number of purchased licenses has not been exceeded.
NOTE: If you have a node-locked evaluation license, please follow the instructions specified in Activating Node-Locked License here.
If you have a floating evaluation license, please follow the instructions specified in Activating Floating License here.
