This article will help you to get started with REFLEKT ONE Author. Here you will find an overview of all core functions for working with REFLEKT ONE Author.
OVERVIEW:
The REFLEKT ONE Author interface is divided into five different sections:
- Main menu (red)
- Project Browser (green)
- Content section (blue)
- Topic section (yellow)
- Publish section (grey)
1. MAIN MENU
From the main menu you can access the Project Browser, Imprint, your Account Profile, Settings and the Logout. If you work on a repository, you can also refresh your project and load its changes here.
Menu options:
- Refresh - load the latest changes of your co-authors from the repository (Repository use only)
- Project Browser – view all categories/projects
- Imprint – view the Imprint
- Account – change profile data
- Settings – change Cortona.exe path and port
- Logout – disconnect from account to change user
2. PROJECT BROWSER
You can find all projects that have been stored in the hierarchy folders in the Project Browser. You can add/create new categories (also called projects), products and scenarios. It is also possible to import existing projects or scenarios here.
3. CONTENT SECTION
Once a new category, product or scenario has been created, the content section option will appear. Here you can set the name for each hierarchy folder.
You can rename, delete and save a specific folder by clicking on the EDIT button.
4. TOPIC SECTION
New topics can be added to a scenario from the Topic Section. After selecting a topic, RapidManual will start automatically for the XML and 3D Authoring process.

5. PREVIEW AND PUBLISH SECTION
Once you have authored your content you can click the Draft button to send it to the Web Viewer for preview. Make sure to close Cortona3D RapidManual before previewing any work. Once the authoring is done, the content can be published via clicking the Publish button and is then ready for the REFLEKT ONE Viewer.
The REFLEKT Publication engine collects the created content as X3D, XML and Tracking Configuration and generates an AR scene.
