DIGITALIZED MANUALS AND TRAINING BUILT WITH REFLEKT ONE AUGMENTED REALITY SOFTWARE IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND REMOTE ACCESSIBILITY FOR THE PROCESS INDUSTRY

Siemens and REFLEKT today unveiled Augmented Reality (AR) manuals and training guides for a process-based testbed together with Dow. The testbed demonstrator at the MxD Innovation Center in Chicago shows how digital twin technology and work augmentation simplify manufacturing and make remote accessibility easier in the process industry.

Workers can use visual step-by-step instructions and 3D visualizations to perform service work such as replacing a pump faster and with a lower risk of errors than before. The advantage over classic documentation lies in the simple visual guidance as well as the realistic representation directly on the machinery and equipment.

Each guide transforms the most crucial OPs into visual AR animations, accompanied by step-by-step instructions, videos, images and quality control features. The operator can perform a procedure by walking through each step on a tablet or other mobile device.
